Erarta (Modern Art Museum)
This is the biggest non-governmental museum of contemporary art in Russia. The museum exhibits various kinds of art works within the time frame from 1950 to present.
The aim of the museum is to give you an opportunity to let you choose the works of contemporary art you like. There are about 2,000 works by more than 140 artists. The main criteria of the museum when they are choosing the works are not popularity of an artist or belonging to particular movement or trend.
