One-Day Active Tour of St. Petersburg is aimed to show you the best of St. Petersburg attractions in one day: the Hermitage, Peterhof Fountains, the Spilled Blood Church. It is perfect if you want to squeeze the maximum out of your short stay. The tour starts with a cruise port pickup. Heading 20 miles out of the city to the parks of Peterhof, you will enjoy the exteriors of the Peterhof Palace and walk in the park filled with glittering gold fountains (there are around 150 of them). There you will see the Grand Cascade of Peterhof and the Samson Fountain.

Returning to St. Petersburg city center you will take a comprehensive tour of the Hermitage Museum (the Impressionists Collection is not included). The tour lasts for 2 hours and is run by a professional art historian. Plunge into the world art and listen to the stories of the Romanovs in the state rooms of the Winter Palace. We’ll begin our visit with the main complex – the Winter Palace. Here, we'll start with a thorough overview of the Romanovs history and the palace’s construction. Then, we'll traverse the halls of the museum as we head to Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpieces, where we’ll discuss his work.

10:00 – 11:00	Drive to Peterhof. Subway ride (a few stations in 1950-s style, optional).
11:00 – 12:30	Peterhof Fountain parks tour, Grand Cascade and Grand Palace (exterior). Drive back to city. Spilled Blood Church (inside visit).
13:30 – 14:30	Lunch.
15:00 – 17:30	The Hermitage highlights tour (Winter Palace, Main Complex).*
18:00	Return to hotel.

We had a wonderful time with Evgeniya. She really spent nearly a whole day with us for which we are very grateful. We had a great discussion on politics during lunch at the Hermitage...! You have some wonderful assistants who will stand in for you, but one day, we might actually meet you. This visit to Sankt Petersburg was as enjoyable as the previous one, but much colder!! So perhaps there will be a next time.

We spent a fantastic day in St Petersburg organised by Tailored Tours. It was a fantastic experience and our guide, Micha and driver Vlad, were both great people, very friendly and helpful. Goodness know how many times they had to wait for us to take photographs! The personal touch, both in organising what we wanted to do, and on the day itself, was much appreciated, and having our own guide who was happy to chat about all sorts of things, just added to the whole experience. I doubt we would have eaten in a local cafe if we were left to our own devices, but it was another local experience to add to our day.
