Two-Day Basic Shore Tour of St. Petersburg
If you have two days to spend in our beautiful city, take the city highlights tour for an overview of all the must-sees in the city. Additionally, with our two-days’ tour, you have the time to visit two of the most breathtaking palaces St. Petersburg has to offer on an excursion outside the busy city. See Peterhof Palace Park and fountain gardens, and experience the tranquil Tsarskoe Selo palace which houses the magnificent Amber Room. Let our knowledgeable guides show you around the city and make the most of your time here. On this tour you will visit Peterhof Fountain Parks, The Catherine Palace, the Hermitage (Main Complex), the Church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood, Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaac’s Cathedral.
We'll begin with a first class minivan ride from St. Petersburg cruise port to Peterhof. Upon arriving to Peterhof we will spend about 2 hours exploring the parks and fountains, walking the maze of fountains and golden statues. Along the way our guide will focus on architectural features of the Peterhof Palace exteriors and the history of the Romanovs royal family.
Leaving Peterhof we’ll head to Tsarskoye Selo and visit the Catherine Palace. There you will be able to avoid the queue to get the tickets. We’ll have a private admission from a separate entrance. Your guide will show you around the golden ball rooms and let inside the world-famous Amber Room.
Next day, we'll take a skip-the-line tour of the Hermitage Museum and stroll through the multiple galleries of Renaissance art. Take pictures and learn more of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Madonna and Raphael’s masterpieces.
Following the lead of our guide, we will visit the three main cathedrals: the Church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood, St. Isaac’s Cathedral and Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral. A close reading of these frescoes inside, models, and burial vaults fully illustrates the history of the Russian Empire which will be the fitting conclusion to our two-days’ comprehensive tour of St. Petersburg.

My husband and I and another couple hired Timofey for the 2 days we were in St. Petersburg and it was the best thing we could've done. There is no way we would've been able to see what we saw trying to figure it out on our own. Tim is very knowledgeable and interesting. He took us to an "off the beaten path" place to eat for authentic Russian food and we could have never done it without him. He is flexible and has all the sites organized with his driver waiting for us so there was no wasted time. He knew the ins and outs and had little hints that made the difference in our time there.
