Three-Day Active Shore Tour of St. Petersburg

City Highlights Tour with Private Boat and the Faberge Museum

Discover the Hermitage (Main Complex & General Staff, Impressionists & Post-Impressionists), Peter & Paul Fortress, St.Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood, The Russian Museum, Peterhof Parks, The Catherine Palace, Faberge Museum on our Three-days’ Active Shore Tour of St. Petersburg.

The active three-days’ tour is conducted with a private car, guided by a PhD or MA-level expert on history and art. Our knowledgeable guide will share with you everything majestic St. Petersburg has to offer. Stroll down the noisy and colorful Nevsky Prospect, explore onion-domed cathedrals with variegated mosaics, learn about the Orthodox icons and Soviet avant-guard in the Russian Museum, and listen to the stories of the tsars in Peterhof and Pushkin palaces and grounds. Top up your experience with a meditative boat ride and learn the history of astonishing Faberge Eggs collection at the Faberge museum.

Meet your guide at the cruise port terminal, and together take a private car through St. Petersburg city center. As we travel, our guide will introduce the story of St. Petersburg foundation - its origin and how it developed to become the Venice of the North. On arrival to Peter and Paul Fortress, we’ll start to map this story onto the fortress streets that we walk, tracing a path through the burial vaults of the Romanov Family. We’ll continue the discovery of the Romanovs history in the Church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood and in St. Isaac’s Cathedral .

Our journey will continue on a boat ride of St. Petersburg canals and rivers.

On the second day of the tour we will head to Peterhof Parks, wander around the most beautiful fountains in the world and take pictures of the Samson fountain along with the Grand Cascade.

Visit the world-famous Amber Room in the Catherine Palace and avoid the crowds on a separate entrance admission.

On day three you will visit the Hermitage with an art historian guide. The Hermitage is the home to a world-renowned collection of paintings by the Renaissanceartists. We will weave through the galleries with our guide, pausing to study and discuss the famous works by Rembrandt and Leonardo Da Vinci, as well as lesser-known treasures. The Benois Madonna will provide the climax to our visit, and we will take time to appreciate the artist’s mastery, and learn about the painting’s pathway to its current home.

If time allows, we may also explore the Impressionists’ Collection in the General Staff Building.

At the end of our third day together, we’ll  take a tour of the Faberge Museum and stroll along NevskyProspekt to visit the Kazan Cathedral.

Dear Timofey,
Our party of seven friends engaged your services on the recommendation of friends who had toured with you previously. We found your presentation of your city and its features enthralling; you were never at a loss to be efficient, informative and interesting, to answer our questions, to keep us moving through the occasional crowd and to make good eating and entertaining recommendations. We would like to come back and in the meantime have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone sincerely interested in all St. Petersburg has to offer.
Kindest regards
Chris Hodson, USA
Dear Timofey,
A heart felt thank you from Billy and me for making our time in St. Petersburg so special and interesting. We are so grateful to have made a wonderful new friend and to have been so fortunate to partake of all of your knowledge. A long trip back home - but pretty smooth all in all.
With love and best regards,
Vicky
