Compare rich cathedrals of the tsars in St. Petersburg with coziness of tiny medieval churches of Novgorod, and contrast imperial grandeur of the palaces of the Romanovs with wooden architecture of the peasants' cottages. Our guide is ready to answer your questions, whether it is about the mysteries of Russian soul or the circumstances of Rasputin's murder.
The journey from St. Petersburg to Novgorod the Great takes around 3 hours by car on a major highway. The road itself is a pleasant way to see the countryside. You will be accompanied by a historian ready to share his knowledge on Medieval Russia in an easy way, and to prepare you for understanding the very roots of the Russian culture. In the city itself you will spend around 5-6 hours (walking + driving), visiting all the sites mentioned and anything beyond we can pick up to match your interests. After a lunch you will take a ride back to return to St. Petersburg in the evening.
In St. Petersburg you will witness the beauty of the Peterhof Fountains and visit the world-famous Amber Room in the Catherine Palace. To avoid the crowds you will have a separate entrance admission.
Take a tour with an art historian in the Hermitage - home to a world-renowned collection of paintings by the Renaissance artists. We will weave through the galleries with our guide, pausing to study and discuss famous works by Rembrandt and Leonardo Da Vinci, as well as lesser-known treasures.

My wife and I were in St. Petersburg for 5 days and booked 3 tours with Nikita. He organized wonderful tours. The guides were very knowledgeable and we can't recommend this company enough. I tire very easy and our guides were very attentive to my special needs of sitting down and resting. We booked a full day tour to Novgorod to visit the Icon museum and the Kremlin. We had a very comfortable van and the driver was excellent. Our guide was super and was well prepared. We went to a great restaurant for lunch.
