This is an alternative to the City Highlights Tour by car. On this tour, one can experience the life of the city center while walking around the magnificent palaces and streets which Emperors and Empresses once resided. We will start from the Square of Arts and walk along the famous Nevsky Prospect to the monument of Catherine the Great. Then, we will continue to Michael’s Castle where the unloved son of Catherine, Paul, lived and was murdered. We will stroll on to the Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood and continue our scenic walk along the Moika River past the Alexander Pushkin Memorial Museum to the Palace Square, Winter Palace, and Alexander Column. We will then take a short walk to St. Isaac’s Cathedral and end our tour with the “Bronze Horseman” (the monument to Peter the Great).
You can combine this tour with the inside visit of the following museums:
Peter and Paul’s Fortress and Cathedral
The Church on the Spilled Blood
Duration: 4 hours
